Wrestling Lens was built from the heart of the mat.

About The Woman Behind Wrestling Lens

For over ten years, Shirley has been deeply rooted in the wrestling community not just as a photographer, but as a wrestling mom. Her journey started when her oldest son stepped onto the mat in high school. What began as supporting from the sidelines quickly turned into a full family commitment to the sport.

Now, with her youngest on his way to an incredible high school career and ranked among the top in the state, wrestling isn’t just something she watches it’s something she lives every single day.

But wrestling isn’t her only passion.

Photography has been part of Shirley’s life for over 20 years. She did professional work more than a decade ago, always holding onto that creative drive. Over time, the two passions naturally collided and that’s where Wrestling Lens was born.

What started as capturing her own kids’ matches has grown into something much bigger.

More Than Just Photos

Wrestling Lens now covers tournaments all across the state of Florida. From youth events to high school duals and major competitions, Shirley has become a familiar and trusted face mat-side.

Teams have taken notice as South Broward High School loved the energy and quality of their team photos. The YIC team looks forward to seeing Shirley in the gym, knowing the action shots are going to be something special. Even the wrestlers at Archbishop McCarthy High School are constantly asking
“When are the pictures dropping?”

Thanks to this wrestling mom really knowing the sport, everyone from wrestling parents to the wrestlers know they’ll be able to relive some great moments and share them proudly.
